ECHO

ECHO is a Reading class that higher level readers are included in during 4th and 5th grade.  Students are chosen by teacher recommendation, and then given a battery of tests to qualify for this class.  Testing is ongoing during the year, by use of Think Link and Aims Web.  ECHO is basically the highest Reading class offered. 
Students learn by studying a combination of the basic reading text, then adding novels, which leads to more lateral growth and also includes inquiry based learning.
